VIDEO: Having fun with halved cars

If you've ever wondered if it were possible to saw a front-drive vehicle in half and still drive it, we have video proof that it's possible. Some young thrill-seekers managed to pump petrol through the powertrain half of an old Chevy Celebrity (at least we think it's a Celebrity), and even the dog was having fun. This video would make a great "Like A Rock" commercial.
There's more half-car fun where this one came from, too. Our friends over at Gadling found a bunch of videos, including one showing the procedure potential hoons have to endure to cut a vehicle in two. If you want to see the perfect mixture of funny and stupid, this video is for you. Take the jump to see this half-car doing figure-eights in a junkyard.

Its a pontiac 6000, essentually the same as a Celeb, but the grill is different.
.....I am ashamed I can tell the difference too.

Actually, it would make a great 'Driving Excitement' commercial because its a Pontiac 6000 (rectangular headlamp units, laced Pontiac wheelcovers).
Maybe its now a Pontiac 3000.
Anyway, someone did these with Toronados - albeit more professionally - and used them as aircraft and boat tugs.

Haha this is the same guy that relocated the steering and driving components to way above the hood of the car so it can do endos, I recognize the dog.

Somebody should do this with the rear half of a Beetle.

Clarkson did this in an episode of top gear when they were making limos. After he cut his car in half (i think it was a panda or something like that but i dont remember) he drove it around with just the front end.

That was the last episode of the latest season. When that popped on screen, I laughed so hard I cried.

Finally - a reason to buy a front wheel drive car!
... wait - that's not a _real_ reason!

They had something like this on an episode of Extreme 4x4. There were 2 FWD training demonstrators at a mechanics school the hosts were driving around in. They each had 4 wheels, but a much shorter wheelbase since the back half and top of the cars had been removed. They looked like fun.
The following episode the hosts read a letter from the school chastising them for horsing around!
